Hello everybody and welcome to my blog! This is the first of many, hopefully, since I will be remaining in Ames and thus have internet, unlike last year where it all came from my phone, more or less.
Anyway, the internship I am doing this summer is in Orlando, FL with the whole The Final Battle group of wonderful people. If you don't know what that is, it is the musical written and worked on by Mallory Vance and is based on the last battle in the seventh and final book of Harry Potter. Funny enough, the second and last part of the Harry Potter movie series comes out the same week, so we will go from seeing the movie to doing the musical on the same thing.
For this internship, I am the Stage Crew Chief, which means that I am in charge of making sure the stage is set properly between scenes and of assigning who will be doing this changing. I've already began doing some of my duties, since my first assignment (along with the rest of the stage crew) was to come up with what needed to be on the flats for each scene. It will be basic, but wonderful all the same.
